As water temps warm into the mid 80’s a thermocline will start to appear and that means less oxygen below 20 feet or so, so focus on shallower humps and points for sandies 12-15 feet and suspended hybrids 14-18 feet over deeper humps and points. Early morning schooling occurring on cloudy mornings. We are using 1-2 kz rooster tails, white with a chrome blade. When fish go down, burning slabs will continue to catch fish and when schooling stops you can troll the sle area with a hellbender/pet spoon combo to fill your cooler. Watch your sonar, these fish will stack up on the points and try to let out 3 feet of line for each foot of water you’re fishing and keep mph around 3.5 which is a good walking speed.
Lots of small Hybrids mixed in so check your fish carefully that you want to keep.
Crappie being caught near shaded bridge columns in 8-14 feet of water on tube jigs and small minnows.
