With water temps still in low to mid 80’s, both the white bass and crappie are still staging shallow. We are finding huge schools of white bass in water 10-13 ft over main lake points and humps, trolling hellbender/pet spoon combos the ticket for an easy limit of good sized white bass and the occasional Hybrid Striper. Once water temps fall another 10 degrees the slab bite will begin to return.
Crappie are also stacked in water 8-12 for over brushpiles and shaded bridge columns. Small multi-colored tube jigs working best fished slowly. Crappie bite has been subtle but size of fish are 12-13 inches, good eating sized fish.
Channel catfish being caught on stink bait and livers around baited holes in water 6-12 ft.
